Reptiles and Amphibians

This area is split into three main sections:
Others, such as crabs and snakes.

Common names are used with Family Name (Genus) taking precedence e.g. Common Frog would be listed under Frog not Common; this is followed by the scientific name where the species has been identified.

An Index to the Reptiles of each country appears near the top of that country's main page in Places.

To enlarge a thumbnail left click on an image when the pointed finger appears (or double-tap on Touchscreen). This will also access a slideshow and further information associated with the image.

More Information
I have used the Field Guide to Amphibians & Reptiles of Britain and Europe ( Speybroeck et al) to identify some of the images here. Others were identified by local guides or from researching the Internet.

For Spain there is a very good Forum: http://www.iberianatureforum.com
For Moroccan Lizards the following site is comprehensive : http://www.moroccoherps.com

All images are my own.
